On Wednesday 17th September Rossville State School celebrated NAIDOC (National Aboriginal and Islander Day of Celebrations).
Students, staff, parents and community members all gathered together to enjoy a day full of activities including art, craft, story-telling, ranger talks and spear throwing. The day also involved a special smoking ceremony and parade through the school for everyone present.
The day finished with a traditional Kup Murri (Traditional Ground oven) lunch filled with fish, lamb, pork, beef and vegetables prepared by community elders.
Thank you to everyone involved in making the day a great success!
